Çığlıkara Forest Antalya
One of Antalya’s undiscovered natural wonders, Çığlıkara Forest is a true escape for nature lovers with its lush greenery, cool air, and endemic plant species.
Located at the foothills of the Taurus Mountains, this forest is one of Turkey’s largest black pine forests, offering a great diversity of flora and fauna. If you want to get away from city life and spend a peaceful day in nature, Çığlıkara Forest is waiting for you!
Covering a vast 16,000-hectare area, Çığlıkara Forest is one of Turkey’s largest black pine forests. However, its uniqueness is not just about its size! The Katran Tree (Taurus Fir), which grows only in this forest, is one of its most valuable natural treasures. Some of these monumental trees are over 1,000 years old, creating a breathtaking sight for nature enthusiasts.
Wildlife such as mountain goats, foxes, eagles, and various bird species can be observed here. The best time for wildlife spotting is early in the morning! There are also suitable areas for camping, but since this is a protected area, it is essential to preserve the natural environment. For day-trip picnics, the forest offers a wonderful atmosphere.
The forest features several hiking trails, with the Katran Tree Trail being a top choice for hiking enthusiasts. During October and November, the forest transforms into stunning shades of yellow and red. If you want to witness nature at its most beautiful, visiting in autumn is highly recommended.
