Kaleiçi Marina, situated in Antalya's historic Kaleiçi district and one of the city's most important tourist attractions, mesmerizes visitors with its stunning beauty. This semi-circular harbor is approximately 100 meters long and was built during the Hellenistic period. It is also a historic site that contains ancient ruins, including the surrounding walls and parts of the inner harbor breakwater. The walls encircling the region, both internally and externally, are a shared legacy of the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods.

Historically, Kaleiçi Marina served as a crucial trade and defense center and was actively used during the Roman and Byzantine eras. In 1472, the Papal Navy placed the Papal coat of arms on the towers at the entrance of the harbor and took the security chain as a trophy.

The marina has a depth of approximately 6-7 meters and a capacity for 100 boats. It is surrounded by walls, some of which have survived to this day. Around the marina, there are significant landmarks such as the marine police station, a small amphitheater, the Antalya Marine Biology Museum, and the Antalya Toy Museum.

Today, Kaleiçi Marina is a lively hub surrounded by tourist boat tours, restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops. At some point during your visit to Kaleiçi, you may have the opportunity to view the marina from above. Additionally, about 1 km offshore lies the wreck of the French warship Saint Didier, which was sunk in 1942. This wreck is a popular destination for diving enthusiasts.

The marina’s serene ambiance has also made it a retreat for locals seeking relaxation. The boat tours offered here provide excellent options for summer entertainment, while visitors can also enjoy the stunning views from nearby restaurants overlooking the marina.
