Maden Bay (Atbükü) Antalya
Named "Maden Bay" due to the chrome mine that was actively operated in the region between 1938 and 1991, remnants of this old mine and its caves can still be seen at various points around the bay today.
Surrounded by red pine forests, Maden Bay features a fine pebble beach approximately 430 meters long. Its crystal-clear, deep blue sea offers a peaceful environment in harmony with nature. The bay is also an ideal spot for camping, with areas available for setting up tents. Additionally, it is suitable for activities such as picnicking, hiking, and diving.
As the bay maintains a tranquil atmosphere, there are no facilities, markets, or restaurants available. Therefore, visitors should bring their own food, drinks, and other necessities in advance. Although access to Maden Bay can be somewhat challenging, the breathtaking scenery and serene ambiance make the journey worthwhile. Ultimately, Maden Bay is a perfect escape for those looking to connect with nature and take a break from the stress of city life.
