Toy Museum Antalya
Antalya is a city known for its rich cultural heritage and historical texture, and it also stands out with its toy museums, which offer fun and educational experiences for children and families. These museums showcase the evolution of toys from the past to the present with extensive collections that appeal to both children and adults.
Opened in 2011 under the leadership of poet and writer Sunay Akın, the Antalya Toy Museum is located in the historic Kaleiçi Marina. The museum houses approximately 3,000 antique toys dating from the 1860s to the 1980s. It features a wide range of exhibits, from the first factory-made toys produced after the Industrial Revolution to rare dollhouses. The museum's design and decoration were created by stage designer Ayhan Doğan, and visitors are welcomed by statues of beloved characters such as Nasreddin Hodja, Cinderella, Lucky Luke, Mickey Mouse, The Smurfs, and Keloğlan.
