Antalya Training and Research Hospital
Antalya Training and Research Hospital is one of the most important healthcare institutions in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya. The hospital, which dates back to 1918, has been operating under the status of "Training and Research Hospital" since 2009.
It was initially established by the Italians in 1918 and operated under the name "Italian Hospital" until 1920. In 1925, the hospital, with 1 chief physician, 3 doctors, and a capacity of 30 beds, was renamed as Gureba Hospital. In 1930, it was transferred to the Special Administration and renamed the "Memleket Hospital." With its internal medicine and surgical departments, the hospital expanded by adding Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1935. By 1952, the bed capacity was increased to 90, and in 1968, it reached 200 beds.
Currently, the hospital has a total bed capacity of 1,270 and offers a wide range of healthcare services. It includes many specialties such as Emergency Medicine, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Urology. Specialized service units like the Acupuncture Application Center are also available.
The hospital is equipped with modern medical technologies and is staffed by experienced healthcare professionals. Additionally, it reaches a wide audience through its neighborhood clinics in areas such as Sema Yazar, Uncalı, the Commodity Exchange, and Aksu.
