Bali Bey Mosque Antalya

Bali Bey Mosque was built in the late 14th century. The mosque was commissioned by one of the important Ottoman governors of the time, Bali Bey, and it is named after him.

Although initially built as a Seljuk structure, it was later reshaped with Ottoman-era architecture. The mosque has undergone several restorations over time, but it has managed to preserve its historical fabric during these restorations.

Bali Bey Mosque reflects the classical Ottoman mosque architecture. The plan of the mosque is rectangular and is covered by a large dome. The mosque stands out with its simple and elegant craftsmanship inside. The woodwork on the minbar and the mihrab provides important examples of the art and craftsmanship of the period. The exterior of the mosque is made of stone, indicating that the structure has a solid foundation.
