Blue Cave Antalya
Located 18 km from Kaş, 6 km from Kalkan, and approximately 600 meters from Kaputaş Beach, Blue Cave is a hidden paradise waiting to be discovered with its deep blue waters and mesmerizing atmosphere.
The Blue Cave was discovered in 1972 by geologist Dr. Temuçin Aygen. Sunlight filtering through the openings at the seabed paints the interior of the cave in a stunning blue hue, creating a magical ambiance.
The cave is 50 meters long, 40 meters wide, and 15 meters high. Inside, there are six different chambers. As the inner sections are completely dark, diving equipment may be required for deeper exploration. Upon entering the cave, the reflection of sunlight on the water illuminates the cave walls with a beautiful blue glow, making it a unique natural wonder. The way the sunlight penetrates the water and lights up the cave’s interior adds to its mystical charm.
The Blue Cave is an excellent discovery spot for diving enthusiasts, thanks to its rich marine life. In and around the cave’s galleries, soft corals, colorful fish, sea urchins, shrimp swarms, and, depending on the season, Mediterranean monk seals can be seen. Swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Blue Cave is one of the most enjoyable activities for visitors. Since the water is usually warm, it provides a pleasant and relaxing swimming experience.
