İskele Mosque Antalya
İskele Mosque was built in the 19th century. This mosque, which carries the influences of Ottoman period architecture, is considered one of Antalya's important religious structures. The purpose of the mosque's construction was to provide a place of worship that could be easily accessed by sailors arriving in Kaleiçi. The mosque is located very close to the sea, making it stand out as a structure that is almost integrated with the sea.
İskele Mosque has a typical Ottoman mosque architecture but with a simple design. The mosque is placed in a small area and is covered with a large dome. The mosque's minaret is one of the most prominent features of the structure and can easily be noticed among the surrounding buildings.
Although the interior is quite simple, the mosque's small and intimate atmosphere offers visitors a peaceful place for worship. Additionally, the mosque's wooden minbar and mihrab are intricately crafted, reflecting the traditional craftsmanship of the period.
