Located within the borders of Kumluca district in Antalya, Rhodiapolis Ancient City rises on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean. It is one of Lycia’s lesser-known yet historically significant settlements. With a history dating back to the 8th century BC, Rhodiapolis showcases the cultural heritage of Lycia and is also known as the hometown of the famous philanthropist Opramoas.

The name Rhodiapolis indicates that it was founded by colonists from Rhodes. As a member of the Lycian League, the city saw great development during the Roman period. Opramoas was a significant figure known for his charitable contributions to Lycia and surrounding cities, and one of the most magnificent monuments in the ancient city belongs to him.

Inside Rhodiapolis Ancient City, the Opramoas Monumental Tomb is one of the most important remnants, featuring one of the largest inscriptions in the region. A small but well-preserved theater captivates visitors with its seating arrangement offering a sea view.

The Agora and Stoa, the commercial and social center of Rhodiapolis, reflect the influence of the Roman period. The baths and water channels demonstrate the city's advanced water infrastructure and the engineering skills of the time. Rhodiapolis remained an important center during the transition from the Roman to the Byzantine period, and the Byzantine church is one of the rare structures that has survived from that era.
