Suna and İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum Antalya
Suna and İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Museum is a museum established in Antalya's historic Kaleiçi district to promote traditional Turkish folk culture. The museum consists of two registered buildings: a two-story traditional Antalya house from the 19th century and the Aya Yorgi (Hagios Georgios) Church. These buildings, purchased by Suna and İnan Kıraç, were restored between 1993 and 1995 and opened to visitors on May 18, 1996.
In the Traditional Antalya House, visitors can explore glimpses of Kaleiçi life from the second half of the 19th century. The rooms are decorated with scenes from Anatolian folk culture, such as coffee serving, groom's shaving, and henna night. The Aya Yorgi Church, on the other hand, has been arranged as an exhibition space, showcasing a rich collection of Çanakkale ceramics from the Suna and İnan Kıraç Collection.
If you want to take a historical break while strolling through Kaleiçi, discover traces of the past, and get a closer look at cultural heritage, make sure to visit this museum!
